Recap: Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles vs. Hampton County Hurricanes

The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Hampton County by a score of 67-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (63), Hilton Head Christian Academy still had to take the loss.

Despite the defeat, Hilton Head Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Harrison Skinner scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Skinner hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Qayden Turner, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Hampton County had a senior duo take command as Kavon Chisolm scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and Devon Allen scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Hector Rakes, who scored eight points.

Hilton Head Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Hampton County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Hilton Head Christian Academy will be playing at home against Bethesda Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bethesda Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 422 points over their last six games. As for Hampton County, they will head out on the road to square off against Barnwell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
