Chico came tearing into  Friday's  game with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Foothill Cougars by a score of  6-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season,  with their most recent  victory being a  5-3  win  on Tuesday.
 Jaden Neugebauer was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   seven  hits. Those  ten  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 In other batting news,  Jaxxon Tweedt was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Chico  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in three consecutive  matches.
Chico's victory was  their ninth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 25-1. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Foothill, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record  this season.
 Chico will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pleasant Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 16th. As for Foothill, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  3-1  win against Las Plumas on the 13th.
