Softball Recap: Circleville Takes a Loss

If Circleville was feeling good fresh off their 12-6 takedown of Unioto on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Logan Elm Braves by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 on April 6th.

Kaylee West made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Rylee Starner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Circleville's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Logan Elm, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Circleville has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against Hamilton Township on the 24th. As for Logan Elm, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Liberty Union on the 24th.
