Softball Recap: Warhill Has No Trouble Against Grafton

Warhill made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grafton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Clippers on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Skyler Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

At the plate, Mallory Herspold was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Annabelle Hall was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Warhill's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Grafton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Warhill will look to defend their home field on Friday against New Kent at 4:30 p.m. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 15.7 runs per game this season. As for Grafton, they will head out to challenge York at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Clippers will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
