Our Lady of the Sun Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of James Madison Preparatory School.
Despite the loss, Our Lady of the Sun Academy still got an impressive performance from Joseph Reiss, who scored 38 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That was a full 73.1% of Our Lady of the Sun Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. John Muruako was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Our Lady of the Sun Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for James Madison Preparatory School, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Our Lady of the Sun Academy will square off against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for James Madison Preparatory School, they will head out on the road to challenge Mission Heights Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mission Heights Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
