Softball Recap: South Hagerstown's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

South Hagerstown lost to Frederick on April 4th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Rebels had just enough and edged out the Cadets 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted against the Cadets since April 20, 2022.

Ja'Seri Chapman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelsea Desmond, who earned two RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

South Hagerstown's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9-1. As for Frederick, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. South Hagerstown will square off against rival Oakdale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Frederick is set to challenge their familiar foe Middletown on Friday. The contest will give the Cadets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
