Fans got a thrill when Daniel DiRocco and Lance Brown connected against Mira Costa. The connection was good for 59 yards, the longest such play in Bay this season.
Palos Verdes added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Mustangs, 35-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Sea Kings.
Palos Verdes' dynamic duo of DiRocco and Brown proved tough for Mira Costa to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. DiRocco threw for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns and Brown had 84 yards receiving. Joey Chenoweth helped Palos Verdes' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 25 yards.
Mike Pettis was a key player and the best on defense this week as Palos Verdes Peninsula bested Leuzinger. He racked up 2 sacks.
Palos Verdes Peninsula's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ian Escutia has thrown for 968 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Jason Burr has 28 catches for 411 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Guy Gardner's team takes on West. The Sea Kings' offense has racked up 245 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Warriors have allowed only 76 on the year.
