Soccer Recap: Aliso Niguel Triumphs

Aliso Niguel kept a clean sheet against Capistrano Valley on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Capistrano Valley Cougars out 1-0. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Cougars are ranked 569th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aliso Niguel now has a winning record of 5-4-6. As for Capistrano Valley, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8-3.

Aliso Niguel will host San Clemente at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Capistrano Valley, they will take on Mission Viejo at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Capistrano Valley is facing Mission Viejo at the right time seeing as Mission Viejo is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
