Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Union Academy). Their defense stepped up to hand the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. Give Union Academy's defense some credit: that's the team's eighth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting South Stanly from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Hadassa Garcia led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Union Academy's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 58 goals over those seven matchups. As for South Stanly, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.
