Stephenson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Columbia Eagles on Tuesday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Stephenson took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stephenson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McNair at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Columbia, they will venture away from home to take on Dutchtown at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
