Baseball Recap: Loyola Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Loyola's offense. They fell 3-0 to the JSerra Catholic Lions on Friday. The Cubs haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Loyola got a good showing from Robbie O'Rourke, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Loyola's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for JSerra Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Loyola will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Gahr at 3:00 p.m. As for JSerra Catholic, they will head out to face off against Harvard-Westlake at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
