Baseball Recap: Mississinawa Valley Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mississinawa Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Randolph Southern Rebels 6-4. The win continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Cole McGlothlin, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Hiestand, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mississinawa Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
