Softball Game Preview: San Pasqual Valley Warriors vs. Anthem Prep Eagles

San Pasqual Valley is 1-9 against Anthem Prep since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. San Pasqual Valley has given up an average of 17 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

San Pasqual Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 24-12 to Salome last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Anthem Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Ray on Tuesday and fell 7-6.

Grace Stillwell put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. Stillwell was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Stillwell wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Palacios, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. Another was Madi Starr, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Anthem Prep's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for San Pasqual Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

San Pasqual Valley might still be hurting after the 15-4 loss they got from Anthem Prep in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
