Baseball Game Preview: Buford Wolves vs. Loganville Red Devils

The Buford Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Loganville Red Devils at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Buford 3.2, Loganville 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Buford's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Discovery by a score of 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Meanwhile, Loganville had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 25-0 victory. The Red Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Loganville pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Buford, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.

Buford was able to grind out a solid victory over Loganville in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 8-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
