Volleyball Game Preview: West Laurens Raiders vs. Pike County Pirates

After both having extra time off, the West Laurens Raiders and the Pike County Pirates will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, West Laurens came up short against Mary Persons and fell 2-0.

West Laurens was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 13 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Pike County entered their tilt with Rock Springs Christian Academy on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Eagles.

Pike County now has a winning record of 11-10. As for West Laurens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season.

West Laurens skirted past Pike County 2-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
