Worth County took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the North Nodaway Mustangs, posting a 55-20 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Leading Worth County to victory were Caleb New and Brock Healy. New posted 23 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Healy scored 20 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Dylan Smith, who had three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
North Nodaway's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Looking ahead, Worth County and Northeast Nodaway will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for North Nodaway, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Stewartsville at 7:30 p.m.
