Volleyball Recap: Walsenburg Find Success

Walsenburg posted their closest victory since October 26, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Sierra Stallions 2-1. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Stallions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Walsenburg who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 26-28, 15-11.

The win made it two in a row for Walsenburg and bumps their season record up to 5-12. As for Sierra, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Walsenburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Harrison on the 25th. As for Sierra, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Falcon on the 28th.
