Baseball Recap: Canyon Springs Pioneers vs. Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights
Canyon Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-5 last Tuesday.
Kenny Castro spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
