Basketball Game Preview: Tampa Bay Tech Titans vs. Plant Panthers

The Tampa Bay Tech Titans will head out to square off against the Plant Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tampa Bay Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.

Tampa Bay Tech is coming into the matchup on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They walked away with a 53-46 victory over Lennard on Wednesday.

Evan Clark continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 16 points in addition to five boards and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in November of 2024. Javon Russel was another key player, scoring six points and five rebounds.

Tampa Bay Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Plant faced off against Jesuit on Friday. Plant took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jesuit.

Tampa Bay Tech's record now sits at 7-14. As for Plant, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5.

Things could have been worse for Tampa Bay Tech, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-41 loss to Plant when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Tampa Bay Tech, Dillon Costello (who went 10 for 13 en route to 22 points and seven boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
