Baseball Recap: Anchor Bay Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sterling Heights Stevenson, Anchor Bay was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils a 1-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tars also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Anchor Bay saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Lach, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

The victory got Anchor Bay back to even at 7-7. As for Grosse Pointe South, they moved to 18-2 with that loss, which also ended their 16-game winning streak.

Anchor Bay will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
