Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Warriors vs. Sycamore Aviators

The Lebanon Warriors will challenge the Sycamore Aviators at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Lebanon's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Sycamore has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Lebanon gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Oak Hills 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now won four in a row.

Will Alt looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Josh Beavon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Lebanon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Hills only posted a batting average of .304.

Meanwhile, Sycamore came up short against Little Miami on Friday and fell 7-4.

Lebanon's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Sycamore, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Everything went Lebanon's way against Sycamore in their previous meeting back in May of 2015, as Lebanon made off with a 14-0 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Aviators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
