Baseball Recap: Stafford Comes Up Short

Stafford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverbend Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in April.

Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Riverbend, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Stafford is set to challenge their familiar foe Massaponax at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Riverbend will square off against rival Brooke Point at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
