Basketball Recap: Athens Wildcats vs. Williamson Warriors
Athens had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They really took it to the Williamson Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up an 85-55 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 53-32.
Adam Kemp went supernova for Athens, going 10 of 18 on his way to 28 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jase Babcock, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.
Williamson dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Athens will face off against North Penn-Liberty at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Williamson, they will challenge Towanda at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
