Menchville has gone a perfect 9-0 against Phoebus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Monarchs will welcome the Phantoms at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Menchville's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.

Menchville's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Bethel. Considering Menchville have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Phoebus came up short against Woodside on Tuesday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Phoebus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Woodside are ranked 101st).

Phoebus has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Menchville, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
