Basketball Recap: Jacob Szep's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Armstrong over Indiana

Armstrong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Indiana Little Indians. The River Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Little Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Armstrong lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacob Szep, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 13 points and five assists. Quinton Olsen was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Armstrong's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Indiana, they moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Armstrong will welcome Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Indiana, they will head out to challenge Shaler Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
