Volleyball Recap: Ursuline Starts Season with Victory at Home

Ursuline took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Brookfield Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Fighting Irish haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ursuline walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 25-13.

Ursuline found their leader in sophomore Bridget Wirtz, who had 26 digs and two aces. Cadence Horvath was another key player, getting 12 assists and six digs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ursuline will face off against Howland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brookfield, they will host Badger at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
