Alleman proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Pearl City Wolves 6-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Pioneers, who have now won five matchups in a row.
CJ Carruthers looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in May of 2024.
On the hitting side, Alleman let Gavin Wilburn and Jackson Smith run wild. Wilburn scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3, while Smith went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
