Baseball Recap: Southfield Christian Takes a Loss

Southfield Christian lost against Inter-City Baptist on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 10-2 to the Chargers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southfield Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Groh, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Southfield Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Inter-City Baptist, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Southfield Christian will head out on the road to take on Bloomfield Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Defenders have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Inter-City Baptist, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lutheran at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
