Scurry-Rosser dropped their record down to 12-8 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Palmer Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Lincoln Wagner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Cole Hartzel, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Palmer, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-15-1 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 6th.

On Palmer's side, Cooper Stockton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. Stockton has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 4-0-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-15 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eric Cisneros, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Scurry-Rosser does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmer, they have already played their next game, a 5-3 victory against Grandview on the 22nd.
