Basketball Recap: Chamblee Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If Creekside wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chamblee, they should've done a better job of containing Ryan McCord. The Bulldogs walked away with a 74-61 win over the Seminoles on Monday for which the team can thank McCord, who posted 17 points and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last five games he's played.

Despite the loss, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jacorey Lee earned 13 points along with seven boards and three steals. Ke'Andre Guyton was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 11 points.

Chamblee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Creekside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Chamblee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-54 defeat against Johns Creek on the 25th. As for Creekside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-42 win against Shiloh on the 25th.
