While Jackson's victory against Twinsburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Polar Bears skirted past the Tigers 8-7. Winning may never get old, but the Polar Bears sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Jackson let Abby Seders and Remi Grooms run wild. Seders went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Grooms went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run. That's the most doubles Grooms has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Kristoff, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Jackson's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Twinsburg, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8.
Jackson and Twinsburg should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Polar Bears (ranked 18th) will meet Steele (ranked 91st) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Twinsburg will challenge Solon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (130 vs. 430).
