Wood Memorial came out on top against Evansville Bosse on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run first inning. The Trojans blew past the Bulldogs 21-3. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Wood Memorial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Evansville Bosse, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
