Volleyball Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

Montgomery County lost against Lexington Catholic back in October of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-15.

Lexington Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Finley Quinn, who had 11 digs and one assist. Quinn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Montgomery County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season. As for Lexington Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Montgomery County will square off against Scott at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington Catholic, they will take on Henry Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
