Basketball Recap: Charlotte Takes a Loss

Charlotte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Ionia Bulldogs, falling 70-39. The Orioles were down 59-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Charlotte lost, don't look at Peyton Howarth. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Avery Silvas, who went 5 for 10 en route to 12 points.

Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Ionia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Charlotte will host Olivet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ionia, they will venture away from home to challenge Sexton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
