The Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles will challenge the Cathedral Fighting Irish at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Guerin Catholic will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Guerin Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Crawfordsville as they made off with a 10-1 win. Considering the Golden Eagles have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Luke Gremelspacher tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May.
On the hitting side, Ian Taylor and Ben Canada did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Canada went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Taylor is becoming a predictor of Guerin Catholic's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-2 (and 9-10 when he doesn't). Karson Smith was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Guerin Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crawfordsville only posted an OBP of .241.
Meanwhile, Cathedral posted their closest victory since May 14th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Indianapolis Bishop Chatard. The Fighting Irish haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Cathedral also got a great performance from Ethan Dorsey as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Dorsey has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Christiansen, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Chase Nickols, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Guerin Catholic's record now sits at 17-12. As for Cathedral, their record is now 20-9.
