Recap: Eastern Greene Thunderbirds vs. Barr-Reeve Vikings
The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 53-34 bruising from Barr-Reeve. Eastern Greene has struggled against Barr-Reeve recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Braydon Knepp, who scored 22 points for Barr-Reeve. The contest was Knepp's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Seth Wagler, who scored 14 points.
Eastern Greene's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Barr-Reeve, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Eastern Greene will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Putnam at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. Barr-Reeve will be home for the holidays to greet Vincennes Lincoln at 11:45 a.m. on Friday.
