Soccer Recap: Dobyns-Bennett Starts Season with Win Against Morristown-Hamblen West

Dobyns-Bennett gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Indians were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Gavin Farmer.

Coming up, Dobyns-Bennett is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against Jefferson County at 7:30 p.m. on March 11th. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-2 draw against Chuckey-Doak on the 6th.
