Recap: St. Pius X Warriors vs. Chillicothe Hornets
The St. Pius X Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chillicothe. While losing is never fun, St. Pius X can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Hornets are ranked 80th).
Chillicothe found their leader in underclassman Jaishon White, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of James Mathew, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
St. Pius X has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Chillicothe, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
St. Pius X will be playing at home against the Spoofhounds at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Maryville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 485 points over their last seven contests. As for Chillicothe, they will head out on the road to take on the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Benton is on a nine-game streak of home wins, the Hornets a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
