Basketball Recap: Palmer Trinity Takes a Loss

Palmer Trinity suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against the Saint Andrew's Scots, falling 84-64. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 66-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Palmer Trinity still got an impressive performance from Graham Yanowitch, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points and seven rebounds. The game was Yanowitch's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andres Domenech, who posted 16 points and five boards.

Xander Gerard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Saint Andrew's, going 8 for 9 en route to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Gerard has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Lukas Buinevicius, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and six boards.

Palmer Trinity moved to 17-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Saint Andrew's, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Palmer Trinity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-41 defeat against Gulliver Prep on the 24th. As for Saint Andrew's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 80-64 victory against NSU University on the 24th.
