Baseball Game Preview: Sedro-Woolley Cubs vs. Oak Harbor Wildcats

The Sedro-Woolley Cubs will head out on the road to take on the Oak Harbor Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sedro-Woolley will be strutting in after a win while Oak Harbor will be coming in after a defeat.

Sedro-Woolley took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Squalicum. That looming 8-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cubs yet this season.

Meanwhile, Oak Harbor came up short against Mount Vernon on Tuesday and fell 6-1. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Oak Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Sedro-Woolley, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Sedro-Woolley came out on top in a nail-biter against Oak Harbor when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Cubs repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
