Life Waxahachie barely beat Alvarado the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp  3-0 victory on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.
 The  victory didn't come easy: Alvarado scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18,  25-22.
Life Waxahachie's offense was headlined by  Sienna Okpuzor and  Mikayla Turner, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from  Saniah Brooks and her 16 assists. Finally,  Okpuzor was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
 When it comes to explaining why Alvarado lost, don't look at  Brennan Blackwood. Despite the final result, she  had 13  digs.
Life Waxahachie's win bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Alvarado, their loss was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 10-26.
