Volleyball Recap: Lyman Hall Comes Up Short

Lyman Hall lost against Hand back in October of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lyman Hall took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, 15-9.

Nyema Rivera-Burke paced Lyman Hall's offense, picking up ten kills. Rivera-Burke got some help from Lauren Aitkenhead and her 30 assists. Aitkenhead was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lyman Hall's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hand, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lyman Hall will take on rival Career Magnet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hand is set to square off against their familiar foe Mercy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
