Football Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Franklin's Winning Streak

Franklin fought the good fight in their overtime game against Brevard on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 34-28 to the Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 50th).

Anderson Terrell threw for 55 yards and one TD. On the ground, Garrett Young rushed for 189 yards and three scores.

Braylon Thompson had a dynamite game For Brevard., rushing for 136 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Thompson has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Thompson-Wynn, who picked up 119 receiving yards and one score.

With the defeat, Franklin broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for Brevard, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
