Softball Recap: Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears vs. Riverbank Bruins
Juneau-Douglas had to start their season on the road in their first game on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverbank Bruins.
Juneau-Douglas saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mila Hargrave, who went 1-for-2 with a home run.
On Riverbank's side, Maya Guzman was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Guzman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
