Nathan Lopez leads Smidt Tech to victory over Alliance Bloomfield

Recap: Smidt Tech Grey Wolves vs. Alliance Bloomfield Bulls
The Smidt Tech Grey Wolves waltzed into their match Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 50-36 win over Alliance Bloomfield. For Smidt Tech, this counts as revenge for the 39-29 defeat Alliance Bloomfield walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Nathan Lopez was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Merlos, who scored 11 points.
Smidt Tech is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Alliance Bloomfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Smidt Tech will head out on the road to face off against Annenberg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Annenberg is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Alliance Bloomfield will be home for the holidays to greet New Designs University Park at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Designs University Park is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
