Softball Recap: Highland Tech Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pinnacle Classical Academy last Friday, Highland Tech came back down to earth. The Rams lost 12-2 to the Cherryville Ironmen on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Ironmen: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meredith Bolick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Highland Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Cherryville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cherryville beat Highland Tech by a score of 14-6 on Thursday.
