Recap: Palatine Pirates vs. Glenbrook North Spartans
The Palatine Pirates lost against the Glenbrook North Spartans back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Palatine received a tough blow as they fell 58-44 to Glenbrook North.
Palatine lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Kline, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Elise Martino, who scored 11 points.
Palatine now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Glenbrook North, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.
Palatine will head out on the road to take on Fremd at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Fremd will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for Glenbrook North, Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Glenbrook South is ranked 60th, while Glenbrook North is ranked 57th).
