Volleyball Recap: Harrison Central Comes Up Short

If Harrison Central was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Catholic Central on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies lost 3-0 to the Brooke Bruins on Thursday. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2020.

While Harrison Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Brooke's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20, 25-22.

Harrison Central's offense was headlined by Hannah Grady and Leah Grady, who picked up six kills apiece. Hannah really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Brooke was led to victory by Jazmyn Wood and Eden McKinney. Wood had eight digs and two aces, while McKinney had 13 assists.

Harrison Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Harrison Central will be playing at home against East Liverpool at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brooke, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Washington at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
