Football Recap: Lansingburgh Beats Ichabod Crane for Their Fifth Straight Win

Lansingburgh had won four straight games and Anari Fredericks did his part to make it five on Friday. The Knights put the hurt on the Ichabod Crane Riders with a sharp 21-0 win for which the team can thank Fredericks, who rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.

Lansingburgh's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Salah Thompson, Sania Fredericks, and Vincent Faulkner, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Ichabod Crane's side was Thompson, who picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

Lansingburgh's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Ichabod Crane, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Lansingburgh will venture away from home to face off against Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Black Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. As for Ichabod Crane, they will welcome Gloversville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies/Dragons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
