Omaha Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weeping Water Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-35 back in December of 2024.

Weeping Water's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Tejan, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. Those 23 points gave Tejan a new career-high. Gus McGill was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Omaha Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Weeping Water, they moved to 8-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Omaha Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Weeping Water, they have already played their next contest, a 71-31 defeat against East Butler on the 25th.
